Our Rooms
We have 4 very different large rooms here for all of our age groups.
SNOWFLAKE ROOM
3 MONTHS - 2 YEARS
Our Snowflake Room is a calm and inviting environment for our Children aged 3 months to 2 years old. We have three members of staff present in our Snowflake Room with a maximum of 9 child places. The small number of children creates an intimate and homely feel where our children can feel safe and secure as they learn through play. Our children are allocated a keyworker who oversees their development and will plan activities according to each child’s individual needs.
Activities may consist of painting, reading a book, water and sand play,
building, dressing up/ role play, malleable play (using various materials to create different textures to explore, such as: foam, pebbles, flour etc) all of which encourage learning and development.
LIGHTENING ROOM
2 YEARS - 3 YEARS
In this room the staff care and provide play activities to encourage the children to grow in confidence and develop physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually following the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
The Lightening Room comprises three rooms, a comfortable, homely room for children to enjoy floor activities, reading and writing. There is a separate room which is used for the messy activities, painting, gluing, sand, water etc. and the third is a changing room.
SUNSHINE ROOM
3 YEARS - 5 YEARS
RAINDROP ROOM
3 YEARS - 5 YEARS
Our Pre-school is split into two rooms, the Raindrops Room and the Sunshine Room. These rooms have 32 places for children aged between 3 years and 5 years old. The Raindrops and the Sunshine Rooms have a vibrant and exciting atmosphere full of children eager to learn and develop.
Children can be seen engaging in all activities such as mathematical games, practicing their pencil skills on our writing table, learning letters during registration, building on their physical development on our climbing frame, mastering social skills through role play, reading their favourite books on our comfy sofa in the quiet area, expressing feelings with our emotions cushions and much, much more.
Every child has a keyworker who plans exciting activities to promote learning and development within the areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
